A set of Microsoft Excel Spreadsheets to help keep your
research in order.
(Note : These Spreadsheets were designed for my own use, but
through constant demand I have
now made them available as a download. Most people have
managed to work the spreadsheets
successfully, but some have had significant problems, but then
again it is FREE. To-date all
problems have been resolved. Please be patient!)
System Requirements: -
Microsoft Excel 97 or Microsoft Excel 2000
(This is a Macro based system so you will need to "enable
macros" when prompted).
WinZip (Required to unpack the download only).

2. XLP - The Spreadsheet Log
As
described in the June 2001 issue of Practical Family History magazine.

This
is a suite of Excel Worksheets combined into one Spreadsheet to enable you
to
see at a glance the basic information you have for each of your direct line
ancestors.

4. Installation Notes & Help Guide
DOWNLOAD INSTRUCTIONS
Once the download is complete. Extract the files to a new
folder C:\XLPEDIGRE
Make sure the "Use Folder Names" is checked, then
press the "Extract" button.
(You will need WinZip for this. If you do not have WinZip,
follow the link at the top of this page).
To start the program: -
Open "Viewer.xls" from within the C:\XLPEDIGRE
directory. This can be done from within
Excel or from the "Windows Explorer". If the C:\XLPEDIGRE directory does not exist,
please
Extract the Download Zip file again making sure that it
extracts to C:\XLPEDIGRE.
To generate an XLP Spreadsheet as described above, please read
the XLP.doc first for the
installation instructions.
Please read the Frequently Asked Questions as these may avoid any unnecessary errors.
