This web-site is slow – The CD-ROM isn’t
All image files are at low resolution on this web site to speed
up load times.
The image files on the CD-ROM are at high resolution and because
the files are held locally on your PC they load quickly.
The Map Collection

There are 189 locations from the “old” county of
Cambridgeshire included on the CD-ROM.
From the Kelly’s Map for 1904 of Cambridgeshire just click on the location
you require and be taken direct to the Location Page for your choice.
The Map can be viewed as a whole, or in one of 9 segments.
Each map segment can be enlarged using the Zoom Icon shown below.

Just click on the Print Icon provided. The image files are designed to print to a standard A4 printer.
Click on the Zoom Icon to see the photograph in more detail. You will be amazed at the detail.
(Note: on the example attached here the image is a .gif file and is not at high-resolution)
(Grid lines don not appear on the high-definition zoom of the .jpg files used on the final CD-ROM.)
All 189 Locations in alphabetical order are included. Each of these contain thumbnails linked direct to the Photo Album,
plus direct links to the Kelly’s 1904 map and Kelly’s 1904 Directory pages.
There is also an 1866 Railway and Stations Map of Cambridgeshire, a Cambridgeshire extract of the 1876 National Railway Map
and a 1904 colour Street Map of Cambridge town centre.
